JM GOLDER - WRITER, DIRECTOR

J M Golder Michelle Golder is a writer/producer and Chair of the Cambridge scriptwriters' organisation WRiTEON. She has written, directed and produced work in a wide variety of venues, from noisy pubs to the historic ADC Theatre, Cambridge. She also organises and teaches acting and writing workshops, and does freelance PR and marketing writing, including the PR writing and editing for the literary festival Cambridge Wordfest, for which she is a member of the managing committee. Her sketch show Sexual Ironing sold out the ADC theatre (200+ seats) and went on to a successful run at the Etcetera, Camden; her co-written show Absurdities/Bed received a four star review from Three Weeks following its run at the Brighton Fringe Festival; Hills Road , the 10 part radio soap she co-wrote, script-edited and directed, is still getting hits on the 209 radio website; and her comedy sketch show, Beat Club , with sketches by herself and others, sold out B Bar (60 seats) in a week. This is her first Edinburgh Fringe production.

 
ROBERT JEZEK - SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT, PLAYING GEORGE HAYTON

Robert JezekRobert last appeared in Edinburgh 10 years ago playing Bob Gould in Speed the Plow and is delighted to be back.The intervening years have been spent partly on stage; The Prisoners Dilemma (RSC), The Front Page (Chichester), The Postman Always Rings Twice (West Yorkshire Playhouse) and The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek (Belfast Theatre Festival); in film, The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, Casino Royale and Last Chance Harvey ; and on TV, from The Professionals, Casualty, Taggart, Doctors, The Bill and Shameless to documentaries like Great Industrial Wonders, The Great San Francisco Earthquake, BBC's The Space Race and the award-winning Nuremberg: Goering's Last Stand. SARAH KENYON - PLAYING FLORENCE HAYTON

Sarah KenyonSarah Kenyon dusts down her make up box and returns to the stage after a long absence during which she raised a son and earned some money. Sarah's previous credits include The Professionals, Bergerac, Going Gently, Grudge Fight and The Good Companions (TV), and Spring Awakening (Lyric Theatre, Belfast), Groping for Words (Croydon Warehouse), Glasshouses (Royal Court Theatre Upstairs), Night Rate (Sir Richard Steele), The Screamer and Aladdin for the London Actors Theatre Company at the Latchmere, and a number one tour of Dracula (or a pain in the neck) for the New Vic Theatre Company. These days, Sarah acts and directs for the Cambridge-based writers' forum, WRiTEON, and is the artistic director of a workplace theatre group at John Lewis Cambridge. Sarah is also on the board of the Cambridge young people's theatre company, Classworks.

 

ELIZABETH MUNCEY - PLAYING ALICE KENTWELL

Elizabeth MunceyElizabeth Muncey trained at the Birmingham School of Acting. Credits include Mrs Elvsted (Hedda Gable), Ivy (The Guestbook), Pandarus (Troilus and Cressida) Dunyazade (The Arabian Nights) and Mommy (The American Dream). She has also worked with BAFTA award winning director Michael Baig-Clifford on a selection of film shorts. Prior to training, Elizabeth studied at Royal Holloway University of London, where she read Drama and Theatre Studies. She is a recent graduate of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme, and has also worked with the National Youth Theatre. Hayton on Homicide will be her Edinburgh Fringe début.  

 

MARK PHILIP COMPTON - PLAYING ADRIAN KENTWELL

Mark studied Drama and History at the University of Kent before living abroad in Vancouver, Sydney and Melbourne. While in Vancouver Mark worked on a variety of TV and film projects including Stargate SG1 and Outer Limits, as well as studying at the Studio on the Drive and WPA. Mark appeared in two award winning productions at the Woking Drama One Act Festival as Arnold in The International Stud part of Harvey Fierstein's Torch Song Trilogy (Best Actor 2002) and Tom/Phyllis in A.R. Gurney's Sylvia (Best Supporting Actor 2004). In 2006 Mark completed a post graduate course with the London Centre for Theatre Studies at the end of which he appeared in the Actors Company Repertory Season as Floyd Allen in Dark of the Moon ( Jermyn Street ). Since then Mark has appeared in La Ronde (Jermyn Street), The Nuns Trail (Canal Café), Dogs Barking (Taragon Theatre, Toronto and Baby Belly, Edinburgh Fringe 2008), Ecstasy (Baby Belly, Edinburgh Fringe 2008), and is currently appearing as Carlos in the European premier of The Woodsman (Old Red Lion). Mark has made a number of short films including Bill in   The Other Woman , The Dealer in Poker Face , and the lead Al in The Way Men Are . Mark has completed corporate work for Credit Suisse, Scottish & Southern Energy and is currently the voice of Ebiquity plc. AMANDA GODLEY - PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Amanda GodleyAmanda is a designer with a background in applied arts – having worked in marketing as an exhibition and branding designer, and been a bespoke tailor/costumer for several years working both on solo projects and with an historical costume museum.

Recent theatre designs she has worked on include Alice the Musical (x 2, in fact), Jonah and the Whale, and Death of a Salesman. She has worked on several projects in independent commercial film, and recently designed for a re-make of the classic Casablanca .

Amanda lives in Cambridge and alongside a career and on-going studies at Anglia Ruskin, she juggles four children (yes, sometimes literally) a dog, two ferrets and a very supportive partner. She is delighted to working with all the enthusiastic Moulin Exes for the first time, and is looking forward to Haytons Edinburgh debut ... audience, be very afraid!

 

ROB MILLS - LIGHTING & TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT

Rob MillsRob has recently graduated from Cambridge University, reading Physics. Working in both Opera and Theatre, recent credits as Lighting Designer include: Love Bites (Leatherhead Theatre); Romeo and Juliet - (Cambridge Arts Theatre); Cambridge University Annual Fashion Show - (The Corn Exchange, Cambridge ); The Elixir of Love - (Stanley Hall Opera); Niceties (Cambridge Footlights 2006 National Tour Show).

And as Production Designer: Madame Butterfly - (Surrey Opera), Yeomen of the Guard - (Minack Theatre) where photograph of the set was also featured as the centre-fold photo in the Guardian; Don Giovanni - (West Rd Concert Hall, Cambridge); Crave - (C³ Edinburgh); HERO-– C-1 Edinburgh & ADC Theatre). He has also tour managed a European theatre tour, and is looking forward to returning to the fringe.

ALAN MORGAN - SOUND RECORDING

Alan has written comedy sketches for shows at the Edinburgh Festival in 2008 ("This Sketch Show Belongs To Lionel Richie") and the Cambridge Comedy Festival in 2009 (“I'll Drive Tonight Darling”) and has had material used on Radio 2 "The News Huddlines" and Radio 7 "Tilt". He also co-wrote and co-produced "Hills Road", a radio soap which was broadcast on 209Radio.

SARAH ALLAN - MARKETING & PR MANAGER

Sarah Allan Sarah has now worked in the arts for several years and has specialist experience in project management, development, marketing and market research. She has completed work for Darren Johnston (Array), Escape Artists, Northwood Ballet School and, during her time at Audiences Yorkshire, organisations such as Northern Ballet Theatre, Leeds Grand Theatre, Sheffield Theatres, the National Railway Museum and the National Coalmining Museum. As well as her role on Hayton on Homicide, she currently works three days a week as Development Officer at the Central School of Ballet in London.
